盖伊 ·比尔特
生于1941年，在法国接受的教育。盖伊1962到1968年作为一名广告业的平面设计师在巴黎工作。

盖伊著有9本儿童书（其中的文字和插画均为自己的创作），其中有5本曾分别于1973、1979、1981、1982、2007年入选《纽约时报》的年度十佳图书。
1985年起任教于纽约帕森斯设计学院，2016年入选插画家协会名人堂。
GUY BILLOUT
Born in 1941, and educate in France.
Worked in PARIS (1962-1968) as a graphic designer in advertising. Moved to NEW YORK in 1969, and became an illustrator, for NEW YORK MAGAZINE, THE NEW YORKER, TIME, LIFE, VOGUE, FORTUNE, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, McCALL’S, GLAMOUR, THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE ATLANTIC, LE MONDE (PARIS).
Wrote and illstrated 9 children's books, 5 of them selected by THE NEW YORK TIMES as 10 best in 1973, 1979, 1981, 1982, 2007.
Teached at parsons school of design in NEW YORK since 1985.
Inducted into the society of illustrator hall of fame in 2016.

Hiii：Could you please also briefly talk about your career?

GUY: Educated as a graphic designer in advertising, I worked 6 years in this quality in Paris, before moving to New York in 1969 to become an illustrator.
广告平面设计专业出身，毕业后在巴黎从事于该领域6年，1969年搬到纽约，成为一名插画师。
Hiii：Are there any people or events that have great influence upon you?
是否有哪些人和事对你的创作有很大的影响？
GUY: I own to comics my first art education, with authors like Hergé, and Franquin. In art school my mentors were Savignac, André François, and Ronald Searle,
who were masters in the arts of posters for advertising, and illustration.
漫画是我的艺术启蒙，对我影响很大的漫画艺术家有埃尔热和弗朗坎。在艺术学校时我的导师是萨维耶、安德烈•弗朗索瓦和罗纳德·塞尔。

Hiii：What is your medium and technique?

GUY: I used to work with an airbrush before switching about 15 years ago to Photoshop.
以前我用气笔，大概15年前开始转用Photoshop。
Hiii：What do you think are the main changes in the illustration field in recent five years?
你认为插画领域最近5年最主要的变化有哪些？
GUY: The reduction of the traditional assignments of the print media, while the quality of now mostly digital illustration, is rising.
传统的印刷媒体委托越来越少了，行业内现在大多是数字插画，并且越来越多。

Hiii：Among your works, which one/ones are the most satisfying to you till now?

GUY: My most satisfying work is when I illustrate stories I have written.

Hiii Illustration 2017，暨第五届Hiii Illustration国际插画大赛，面向世界范围的插画师、创意机构、教师和学生征集插画作品。大赛分为商业（Commercial）和非商业（Noncommercial）两个类别。参赛者可通过官网提交，也可以通过邮件提交，还可以通过手机提交作品参加比赛。截止时间为2017年11月15日。
组委会邀请了6位在国际上享有盛名的插画师和杂志主编担任本届大赛国际评委，他们分别是：盖伊·比尔特（Guy Billout）、艾伦·温斯坦（Ellen Weinstein）、露西·麦克劳兰（Lucy McLauchlan）、蒂姆·S·韦芬巴克（Tim S. Weiffenbach）、查尔斯·海维里（Charles Hively）和萨拉·蒙特（Sarah Munt）。
本届大赛将经过3轮严格评审，由国际评委评选出“全场大奖”、“评审奖”、“最佳作品奖”和“优秀作品奖”等各奖项。大赛另设“最受欢迎奖”数件，将以网络公投的形式从所有入围作品中选出，具体评选规则将在入围名单公布后发布。所有获奖作品都将有机会出版在《Hiii Illustration国际插画作品集》第五辑中。
